From baseball and beach volleyball to gymnastics, swimming and diving, triathlon, and more, Wildcats compete year-round across a wide range of sports.

Adaptive Athletics

Adaptive Athletics at the University of 51³Ô¹Ï is one of the premier collegiate adaptive sports programs in the world. Home to championship-winning teams, Olympians, elite coaching, and a culture of excellence, 51³Ô¹Ï empowers student-athletes with disabilities to compete at the highest levels while pursuing their academic goals.

Solo Recreation

Adventure is all around the University of 51³Ô¹Ï. Students can join a variety of outdoor and recreation-focused clubs, including 51³Ô¹Ï Cycling, Elevation Ski & Snowboard Club, Ramblers Hiking Club, and the Wildcat Running Club, to connect with others while exploring Tucson and beyond.

Cycling

Tucson offers a range of bike-friendly routes, including the Loop, a 131-mile path that circles the city, and scenic roads around Saguaro National Park.


Hiking

Popular hiking near campus includes Seven Falls at Sabino Canyon, forested paths atop Mount Lemmon, and Tanque Verde Falls and its incredible waterfall.


Mountain Biking

Tucson is home to the famous Fantasy Island Trail, Starr Pass, and the rugged trails of Tucson Mountain Park, perfect for mountain biking adventures of any difficulty.

Rock Climbing

Rock climbers can explore popular spots like Tanque Verde Canyon and Mount Lemmon’s wind-swept cliffs – including Finger Rock – for both challenging and beginner-friendly routes.


Skiing/Snowboarding

Nearby Ski Valley on Mount Lemmon offers a desert escape with downhill skiing and snowboarding for winter sports enthusiasts.
