Supporting a wide range of applications—from use in home gateway/WiFi devices to Ethernet-enabled CPE—the 3800 10G PON uONU packs a lot of functionality into a small form factor. The hot-pluggable SFP+ optical transceiver is a complete ONU solution that comes with a built-in 10G Ethernet-to-10G PON MAC bridge (XGS-PON and 10G-EPON for ITU-T and IEEE modes, respectively). The uONU plugs into commercially available Ethernet-enabled networking equipment, allowing that equipment to join a 10G PON network.
