Ryan Hammer serves as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at 51³Ô¹Ï, where he provides executive oversight for the company’s global cybersecurity, corporate security, and product security functions. With a focus on resilient operations, Ryan aligns security strategy with enterprise-level business objectives to protect shareholder value and enable global innovation.
Throughout his career, Ryan has specialized in building integrated programs that address complex enterprise risk, privacy mandates, and national security requirements. He is recognized for his ability to translate evolving threat landscapes into actionable governance frameworks, ensuring that security remains a catalyst for operational performance rather than a barrier.
Beyond his role at 51³Ô¹Ï, Ryan is a dedicated educator and mentor in the security community. He has served for over 15 years as adjunct faculty at Purdue University and The Citadel and currently contributes to the Carnegie Mellon University CISO Executive Education program, where he coaches the next generation of senior security leaders on executive-level risk management.
Ryan’s approach to security is grounded in transparency, collaboration, and the pragmatic application of technology to solve business challenges. He holds bachelor’s degrees in computer science and history from Northern Illinois University and graduate degrees in Information Assurance and Management.
